47° CONGRESS CONVENTUS SOCIETAS ORL LATINA

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
it is not easy for me to describe to you the feelings that I have felt, and continue to feel, since when on the occasion of the Conventus of Naples, Prof. Passali on behalf of the Executive Board informed me that I would have the honor of organizing the 47° Congress “Conventus Societas ORL Latina”.
It is useless to hide that the prestige of the event, whose spread among the Latin countries and the subsequent participation has grown steadily, has induced in me that “natural” agitation that overtakes anyone preparing to host such an important event.
I am, of course, setting up a scientific program that will cover from every angle the most interesting developments regarding the various pathologies that affect the otorhinolaryngological district, placing particular emphasis on the most modern therapeutic approaches: medical, surgical, and rehabilitative, the result of most interesting researches and technological progresses.
Looking forward to seeing many of you and hoping to meet again with many of you soon, I wish you all my most affectionate regards.

LANGUAGE
The official language is English. Slides must be in English, but the Presentation could be in Italian (English is suggested).
BADGE
For security reasons, delegates and exhibitors must wear their name badge. It must be worn at all times throughout the congress.
WI-FI CONNECTION
Wi-fi connection will be available at the Congress Center. The password will be provided at the on-site Secretariat.
SLIDES CENTER
All presentation must be uploaded in each Congress Room at least 1 hour before your session starts. We kindly ask you to bring your presentation on USB memory stick or external hard drive. The use of your own PC is prohibited.
ECM CREDITS
The scientific program (15 hours) is accredited by Agenas (n. 454591) wirh 15 Italian CME credits, for Surgeon, Speech Therapist, Hearing Aid Technician and Audiomestrist Techinician.
To obtain Italian ECM CREDITS you will need to:
– Sign attendance at the beginning and end of each day
– Be registered on the LOMEA Provider portal: https://www.lomea.it
– Attend 90% of the training hours (3 days)
– Complete the learning questionnaire and evaluation form available online from Sunday, November 23 to Tuesday, November 25 (h. 23:59) on the LOMEA Provider Portal.

The Congress will take place at FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON CATANIA HOTEL located in Via Antonello da Messina, 45, Aci Castello, 95021 Catania, (Italy)
HOW TO REACH CATANIA
The International Airport of Catania-Fontanarossa is one of the largest airports in Italy by number of passengers and is served by the most important airlines with over 70 destinations.
HOW TO REACH THE CONGRESS VENUE
The venue, the FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON CATANIA HOTEL is located in Via Antonello Da Messina n. 45, Catania (Sicily, Italy).
You can conveniently reach it from the Airport by taxi, private transfer and bus.
BY TAXI
Taxis are conveniently located just outside the Airport arrivals area. You can book a taxi by contacting the following numbers:

The approximate rate from the airport to the congress venue is around €40.00.
BY PRIVATE TRANSFER
A Private car service is available from Catania International Airport at a rate of €40.00 per trip.
Reservation is mandatory and can be made by calling the following number: +39 095 711 4111.
BY BUS
Another way to reach the congress venue from the airport is by bus. The Alibus service connects the airport to both the city center and the central train station.
The Alibus runs every 25 minutes, even on weekends and holidays. Tickets cost €4.00 and are valid for 90 minutes, allowing you to use them on all other AMT urban bus lines as well. You can purchase tickets directly on the bus (with cash or card) or via the AMT Catania app.
From the central train station, you can transfer to bus 534 and get off at the Antonello Da Messina Est stop to reach the venue.
